fresh water

that year the ice finally melted and animals could come for a fresh drink of water . This was often the only source of water for wild animals for a fair distance unless they ventured into the village

just imagine the snow

just imagine the snow and its a real christmas picture
here's one of the roe deer footprints that led me to buying the camera trap, when I was a kid I used to make plaster casts of footprints, maybe I'll have another try and do some ceramic sculptures from them.

did the fox see red?

that fox (if it's the same one) runs past quickly now maybe it saw the red light this time and got worried
the horses used to spend a few weeks every year in the park but they've moved and we won't be seeing them again

the ice built up

as the water kept dripping the ice built up untill it was a waterfall of ice, sometime I'll try and do a slide show of all the photos I took

horses helping

Over the holiday period I'll be using old images as I can't get to Coustier at the moment. This is from when the bowls were first installed I think the red is pollen from pine trees but I'm not sure
These two horses were living in the park at the time and came to help with the patination

two crows

these crows are often hanging out here, intelligent creatures they know something is going on

 slowly filling up
when passing the tunnel sculpture I noticed an oak leaf wedged between concrete andsteel

looks like we may have rain today

the blackbird having a close look

its nice to see a blackbird because unlike in the UK we dont have many here, people eat them.
a few leaves in the bowl since yesterday
 the puddles are dissappearing fast
I managed to find a few nibbled acorns but thats all there is
these rose hips will probably provide food for someone this winter
looks like the boar was moving about in the upper reaches

fox running by without a second glance

that fox is in a hurry no time for art

 is that a fox print?
I decided to put this bowl ,which incidently spent 5years in the garden of the villa roc fleuri  at cap d'ail beside the medditereanean sea, on a more open grassy area rather than under the trees

this is another lavender plant so far I've only found two in the whole park
I was there a bit early this morning and you can see the shadow of the mt Ventouxit'll be an hour before the sun is on the coustier
