the heavy gang are back

the heavy gang are back! this group of  wild boar came past to check out the art at 4am

earlier on this hound came for a sniff about probably just as well for him that the boar weren't around
the leaves are falling rapidly with a bit of mistral wind today I'd smoothed over the sand and there were these hawthorn leaves 10min later

here it looks like first a dog (fox?) then a cat and when they had gone the mouse came out

that blackbird(?) came back for a better photo

I think its a female blackbird

the water level goes down quicker in some bowls than others

this old stump is ready to fall down its been the home to generations of insects

clearing around the lime trees

these lime trees look a lot happier with the offshoots cut away and with a bit of pruning the should take of nicely in the spring
they were probably planted by the current owners grandfather, picking the flowers for 'tisane' used to be a majour industry here.
this tree trunk has been lying around for a few years we cut into it to see if it was still good for firewood ,it seems ok despite a few ants
the trailer loaded up with firewood
no activity at the new camera site

getting overgrown

the patch of sunshine looks like artificial lighting on this overgrown amphora the question is whether to clear around it or to leave nature to take over
water levels going down in the bowls

where the odd patch of frost survives the ice crystals ge longer every day
I'm clearing round this lime tree that I am sure used to be pruned and harvested

attempt at a hepworth sculpture?

what I thought was just an animal just eating the posidonia could in fact be an attempt at a barbara hepworth inspired sculpture
thats up at the octupus's garden
in several places in the woods I find these small bare patches of earth beside a sapling that has its bark stripped. I don't know whos doing it but it could be an idea for an installation
this overhanging rock is a possible site for an artwork
one of the few lavender plants left from the fields that used to be here
 a frosty morning
this hunting dog on the trail of something stopped by for a drink
