a plant intruder

It was once suggested I put some grain in a bowl to attract animals , it didn't work and anyway this is a sculpture park not a bird table ,the animals are visitors.the grain grew a bit then died off but has reappeared this autumn
 the woods today
 an earlier visit
this pigeon used to be a regular , maybe still is I'm just not looking in the right direction

no movement at the octopus's garden

this is the site for the camera this weekend as there was no more movement up the top (probably I'm just too impatient)
the 'puddles' installation is getting a clean up
this is the male roe deer only seen at night

wild boar activity

despite hunting dogs running all over the park yesterday last night there was some wild boar activity , unfortunately not in front of the camera trap.Ideally I could do with a couple more. But those boar are not really interested in the artworks they just charge past.

Posidonia

yesterday I moved the camera up to where the remains of an installtion called 'octopussy's garden' that was origionally exibited in 2006 at Cap D'ail. this is made of Posidonia a marine grass.
the roe deer have been nibling it perhaps they like the salt.
 theres that red light again
 who cares?
this is what it looks like in daylight
and this is what it used to look like, before itwas exiled from the seaside to the slopes of the Mt Ventoux

woodpecker

this morning a woodpecker visited the bowl , this is a first sighting tho I often hear them
strangely the water in one of these bowls never goes stagnant, its also the one animals prefer to drink from.
although I call this the wild wood it was once all cultivated as these old terrace walls show
